These one-class workshops provide students with an overview of kathak dance. Try a workshop and then jump into one of the Kathak 101 classes!

Kathak 101

6 classes | Cost: $60
This three-week class provides students with an introduction to the fundamental theories and techniques of kathak dance. Choose between the June or July session or dive in and take both!

Thursday, May 2, 2019: 6-8PM - Music intensive with world-renowned hindustani musicians; vocalist Debashis Sarkar and tabla player Satyaprakash Mishra.

Friday May 3, 2019: 7:30PM *open to the public* - Performance at the Lamont School of Music beginning with students of Sureela and featuring Senior Disciples of Pandit Chitresh Das Seibi Lee, Rina Mehta, and our very own Sarah Morelli!

Saturday May 4, 2019: 2-5PM - Kathak dance intensive with guest artist Seibi Lee.

Sunday May 5, 2019: 2-5PM - Kathak dance intensive with guest artist Rina Mehta. *open house for friends and family 4:15-5pm*
